Backbone Technology LLC, doing business as Cribly ("Cribly," "we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use our website, our resident mobile app, and our management portal (together, the "Services").
This policy applies to two groups of people: residents who use a Cribly-powered app at their community, and property staff who use our management portal. Where a practice applies to only one group, we say so. By using the Services, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
The Services are operated from the United States and intended for users in the United States. Your information is processed and stored in the U.S.

We collect the following categories of information:
Information you provide
- Identifiers such as your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, community name, and unit number.
- Account credentials, such as your username and password.
- Profile details you choose to add, such as pet information or service preferences.
- Transaction information when you book or pay for a service, including order history (payment card details are handled by our payment processor, described in Section 6).
- Content you submit, such as maintenance requests, guest registrations, community posts, marketplace listings, messages, reviews, and survey responses.
- Records of your correspondence with us, including support tickets and demo or partnership inquiries.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data, such as IP address, device identifiers, operating system, browser type, and how you interact with the Services.
- Approximate or precise location data, where you have enabled it (see Section 8).
- Information collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 7).
2. How We Collect Information
We collect information directly from you when you register, book services, or contact us; automatically as you use the Services; and from third parties, including your property management company (for example, when they set up your resident account) and our service providers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Services, including your community's branded app and the management portal.
- Process and fulfill service bookings, payments, reservations, maintenance requests, and other features you use.
- Send transactional and community communications, including notices from your property (see Sections 5 and 8).
- Respond to your requests, support tickets, and inquiries.
- Improve and personalize the Services and develop new features.
- Protect the security and integrity of the Services, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms.
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described here:
- With your property management company. Residents' information is shared with the management team of the community you identify, so they can operate the building and provide services.
- With service providers and subprocessors who perform functions on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, payment processing (Stripe), SMS delivery (Twilio), and analytics. They may access information only to perform their work for us.
- With concierge service providers you book through the app, limited to what they need to fulfill your booking.
- For legal reasons, to comply with law or legal process, enforce our agreements, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Cribly, our users, or others.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case information may be among the transferred assets.
- With your consent, or at your direction.
We may share aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify you without restriction.
5. SMS / Text Messaging
We collect your mobile phone number so your property can send you community-related SMS messages through our platform, such as announcements, alerts, reminders, surveys, and service notifications. SMS delivery is provided by our subprocessor, Twilio. We will never sell, rent, or share your mobile number with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message, or through the notification settings in the resident app. You can opt back in by replying START or re-enabling messaging in the app. Message frequency varies based on your property's activity, and standard message and data rates may apply. We retain your opt-in and opt-out status as required by law and industry guidelines.
6. Payments
When you pay for a service in the app, your payment is processed by Stripe. Cribly does not store your full payment card number. Stripe collects and processes your payment information under its own privacy policy and security standards. We receive limited transaction details, such as confirmation of payment and the last four digits of your card, to maintain your order history.
7. Cookies & Analytics
Our website and Services use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, and understand usage. We use analytics tools, which may include Google Analytics, to learn how visitors find and use our Services. These tools may set their own cookies and collect usage data under their own privacy policies.
You can set your browser to refuse some or all cookies, though parts of the Services may not function properly without them. You can learn about opting out of Google Analytics through Google's opt-out tools. Because there is no consistent industry standard, we do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.
8. Push Notifications & Location
If you enable push notifications, we use them to deliver alerts such as package arrivals, maintenance updates, reservations, and community announcements. You can disable push notifications in your device settings at any time.
With your permission, we may collect location information from your device to support location-based features and service delivery. You can enable or disable location access through your device settings, though some features may not work without it.
9. Your Choices & Rights
- Account information. You can review and update your account information in the app or by contacting us.
- Marketing. You can opt out of promotional emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails or by contacting us. We may still send you transactional or service-related messages.
- SMS. Opt out as described in Section 5.
- Cookies and location. Manage these through your browser and device settings.
- Access and deletion. You may request access to or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Note that residents' core account data is controlled in part by their property management company, and some information may be retained as required by law or legitimate business need.
10. California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you may have rights under California law, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@criblyapp.com. We will verify your request before responding, as required by law.
11. Children Under 13
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use the Services or provide any information about yourself. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will delete it. If you believe a child under 13 may have provided us information, contact us at hello@criblyapp.com.
12. Data Retention & Security
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption of payment transactions. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk.
13. Changes to This Policy & Contact
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website, resident mobile app, and management portal (together, the "Services") provided by Backbone Technology LLC, doing business as Cribly ("Cribly," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

The Services are used by two types of users. Property clients are the management companies and property owners who subscribe to Cribly. Residents are the individuals who use a Cribly-powered app at a participating community. Some sections below apply only to one group, and we note where that is the case. Subscription and billing terms (Section 3) apply to property clients; concierge service terms (Section 4) apply mainly to residents.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority in your state, to create a property client account, and at least 13 to use the resident app (see our Privacy Policy regarding children).
3. Subscriptions & Billing (Property Clients)
- Plans and fees. Cribly is offered on subscription plans described at the time of purchase or in your order or agreement. Fees are based on your selected plan and, where applicable, the number of units at your community.
- Billing. Unless your order says otherwise, subscriptions are billed in advance on an annual basis and renew automatically for successive terms unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Onboarding fees. Certain plans may include a one-time onboarding or setup fee, which will be stated in your order.
- Revenue share. Where your plan includes a revenue share on resident service bookings, the share and payment terms will be set out in your order or agreement.
- Taxes. Fees are exclusive of applicable taxes, which you are responsible for.
- Non-payment. We may suspend or terminate Services for overdue amounts after reasonable notice.
- Changes to pricing. We may change fees for future terms with notice before your renewal.
Specific commercial terms, including price, term length, and any custom arrangements, are governed by the order or written agreement between you and Cribly, which controls if it conflicts with these Terms.
4. Concierge Services & Payments (Residents)
The app may let you book personal and concierge services. Some services are performed by independent third-party providers and some are coordinated by Cribly. Cribly is not responsible for the acts or omissions of independent providers, though we work to vet the providers in our marketplace. Service availability, pricing, and terms are shown at the time of booking.
Payments for services are processed by Stripe. By submitting a payment, you authorize the charge for the amount shown. Refunds and cancellations are subject to the policy presented at booking. Cribly does not store your full payment card details.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
- Post or transmit content that is illegal, harassing, defamatory, infringing, or harmful.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, other accounts, or our systems.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services, or introduce malware or harmful code.
- Scrape, copy, or reverse engineer the Services except as permitted by law.
- Misuse community features such as the feed or marketplace, including for spam or fraudulent listings.
6. User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit, such as posts, listings, messages, and requests. You grant Cribly a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and use that content as needed to operate and provide the Services. You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the rights to share it. We may remove content that violates these Terms.
7. Intellectual Property
The Services, including the underlying software, design, and Cribly trademarks, are owned by Backbone Technology LLC and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services as intended. Property clients' own brand assets (names, logos, and colors) remain their property; they grant us a limited license to use those assets to deliver the white-label experience.
8. Third-Party Services
The Services rely on and may link to third parties, including Stripe (payments), Twilio (SMS), and analytics providers. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
9. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Any service-level commitments, if applicable, will be set out in a separate written agreement.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cribly and its owners, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenues, arising from or related to your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amounts you paid to us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars ($100) if you have paid nothing.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. Property clients may cancel as set out in their order or agreement. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, fail to pay, or if we discontinue the Services. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law, will survive.
12. Changes, Governing Law & Contact
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
